Well you're doing the right thing. If you've only just noticed it, then presumably it's early enough for any action to be taken.

I know it's easy to say it, but there's no point worrying.

Don't be scared, I had one and it came to nothing, went down in a few days. Still needs looking at though.

This is going to sound so flippant but nothing can be done until your appointment on monday and then even worst case scenario it is likely to be a small op with local to remove and everything will be fine.

If need be cancel the MOT, it's more important to put your mind at rest.

I'm sure it will be fine.

Hi SparklyGothKat

Try not to worry - difficult I know - you're doing exactly the right thing seeing your GP on Monday. It could be nothing - I had a sebaceous cyst under a mole that made it itchy, lumpy and weepy - scared the life out of me but it was simple to sort - but you do need to get it checked.

Don't be scared. You've not ignored it or pretended it isn't happening so even in the very unlikely circumstances that it needs further investigation you've dealt with it early, which is what counts Let us know what your GP says.

Thanks girls. I am very aware that my many many moles increase my risks, and my sisters have had a few removed too, and they have been fine. I have pale skin and so many moles, but my parents never put suncream on us as kids. My arms and back got very very burnt every summer. As a result I am very careful with my kids...
