Can you really smell a cold coming? Seen this post from Zazen...

I was reading the Kleenex tips and saw this one from Zazen

I always swear I can smell when my DCs and DH are getting a cold and am usually right, the smell is just as Zazen describes.

DH and my friends think I am mad - does anyone know the science behind this so I can be all knowing when I tell DH I am right?

hmm...interesting and does make sense...i.e. our bodies way via instinct to protect us from colds?
No idea about the science...sorry...but bumping it anyway, so, hopefully someone in the know will come and explain

Don't know the science, but have definitely noticed the smell when the kids are coming down with a cold. I think I remember DH thinking I was a bit mad too when I mentioned it.
