Is the skin around your nether regions far darker than your normal skin?

I have very pale skin and the skin around my anus and between my legs (right at the top of thighs just to the side of my labia and obviously my labia) is very dark. I hadn't even thought about it because I assumed everyone had darker skin there (first time dh saw it, he said 'ooh a tan around your bum lol') but just thinking about it, none of my dcs have this (their skin is naturally darker than mine). Does it only happen as you get older?

So is it something every woman has or is it just fair people or is it just some people?

It's normal and does get darker as you age.

I believe you can have anal bleaching now. Why on earth anyone would bother is beyond me though. It's normal!

Apparently (it must be true as I read it here on MN ) you can have anal bleaching which involves lightening the skin in this area .

Common practice amongst porn stars I believe.

But I guess its not something the average person is bothered about.

lol, no-one's coming near there with bleach, that's for sure

thanks ladies. Thought it must be normal and an ageing thing (isn't the ageing process just marvellous?!!)

yes

my sisters waxing lady had a theory. she said that women who were sexually active had darker skin there. considering that she did brazillians on a daily basis, in a society where everyone, once they hit puberty, have their hair waxed off, i would say there is something in her theory.
