Usually "Stridor" in Adults.

Is this due to a Cold/Cough etc?

Are they Asthmatic?

Does the moist steamy atmosphere help at all?

psychomum5 · 07/02/2009 22:46

tis called laryngitis going on what my doc told me, and remedies are the same as for children with croup.....steaming.

scrooged · 07/02/2009 22:46

Any drooling? Unable to talk?

Sawyer64 · 07/02/2009 22:47

Most croup is caused by viruses, The symptoms of croup generally peak 2 to 3 days after the symptoms of infection start. Croup resulting from viral infection usually lasts less 3 to 7 days.

Have just got back from out of hours - been given a salbutamol inhaler which is helping loads now as long as I don't move, talk or lie down - feel utterly and totally wiped out, even sitting up moving my fingers feels exhausting. so am going back to bed in a minute. am not ashtmatic thank goodness. Had a sore throat early in week then started with laryngitis a bit on thurs but really hit this morning.
don't remember feeling this rubbish in a v v long time.
