Irritated scalp from dying hair

I've been dying my hair for a few years, but now my roots come through every 3 weeks, so I fear I have been overdoing the dye as my scalp is so irritated.

My head is so itchy and has lots of spots, does anyone know of anything I could put on it that would soothe the itches.

WHats your diet like? I also dye my hair, and I had a bad scalp a few years ago, change of diet and heh presto

Have you tried T gel shampoo or a similar medicated shampoo?

My diet isn't bad, maybe a bit too much chocolate, but porridge in morning, plenty of fruit, I try not to eat much wheat as it definately makes me bloated. I can't think of what I have been eating lately to cause this.

I had forotten about T gel, I remember using it years ago, I'll get some tomorrow. I feel I need to cover my scalp with some soothing mask or something to calm it down, it feel so uncomfortable.
