havent done it, but have to say tesco and specavers have bgof offers on atm, and also have alot of sale glasses too. good ones tho.

if i found a pair in a store and i could get them cheaper online i would go for it.

I wouldn't because the opticians always adjust the fit of the frames to your face.

Not sure he's interested in two pairs tbh. BOGOF offers are only good value if you actually want 2 pairs I suppose.
That's what I was thinking SoupDragon. I'm sure it will probably be fine if thay fit and are ok. I was guessing the problems would start if you wanted to return them etc.
My main concern is that I'm going to have to order them for him (He doesn't "do" computers!!!) so any problems I'm going to get the flack even though he's asked me to do it. He's an awkward oap sometimes so just trying to reduce the chances of upsetting him which is usually an impossible task!!!
Thanks for your replies. I think I'm going to tell him to get a price from the optitian and see how much he's actually going to save. So long as it's not too much I might pay the difference just to save the hassle. He lives the other side of the country so the potential for problems is huge!!
