Group B Strep Diagnosis & bladder pressure pain...

Are the two linked?

I've been getting really throbbing pain sorta around the bladder area and I've had a urine test, full blood count and tests and no infection was picked up. However, my high vaginal swab results shown I have Group B Strep.

Dr has put me on antibiotics and has told me it should ease off.

Why do I have the pain so bad and also I need to go to the toilet every 5 minutes.

Some friendly advice please

Also, the pain is really sharp but it also tickles a little bit if that makes sense?

Sorry to see you're being ignored.
I'm no expert btw, but it sounds like a bladder infection of some sort and the antibiotics should help.

FWIW i had a massive GBS infection when i had DS1 which resulted in him being very ill...BUT i never had any pain or symptoms of bladder pain etc.

it sounds unrelated.
but like i said, i'm no expert and it sounds like your GP is doing what he can.

hope you feel better soon.

I dont think the two are linked. I have had group b strepp for many years and it has never caused me any problems in the bladder area..but that is jsut my opinion i am not medically trained. i just think they are two seperate issues. Hope you feel better soon.

Are your antibiotics working yet?
I had same thing 2 urine tests clear but swab showed strep b so put on penicilin and 3 mths later still got bladder pain and toilet freq. going to see specialist now suggest you do same if still there.
