I don't feel right, don't know what to do.

I work at a hospital. 2 of the wards are on shut down due to the d&v bug. Alot of the workmen who have been in and out of the office have worked on these wards. ( I don't have ANY contact with patients)

DH had diahorrea this morning, as the morning has gone on I've been feeling more and more unwell.

I feel very sick, have a headache and my tummy has started grumbling.

I really don't know what to do, whether to stick it out or not, we are very short staffed at the minute and they will really really struggle without me, and, I know if I ask to go home it will turn into a mass discussion about whether I am really ill or making it up etc.

What should I do? Sorry it's so long and jumbled.

Can you speak to your manager and make it her decision - I'm sure they have a policy on these things? Obviously there is a risk it's D&V, but it might not be, those symptoms could also be bought on by worrying about it!

I think i may have to. Just had a drink of water and it may re-appear.
