I am quite expecting people to tell me this is perfectly normal, but what can I do about it?
Is it too early to do exercises? and what type can I do?

It is perfectly normal.

Before you do any excercise at all you should see your doctor or health visitor and take their advice.

I went to a Chiropractor as was having terrible probs with back after having DS, sorted it out in a few sessions.

GP and Physio were useless, just recommended painkillers which i was unhappy to take as i was breastfeeding.

Thanks Squonk. That was quick.
The thing is I feel sort of on my own here. The midwife has just stopped coming. The HV has been and gone and wont come back and I have just had a letter from the doctors telling me that they no longer do a 6 wk post natal appt.

You shouldn't be left on your own to cope three weeks after having a baby!

You can ring your HV and ask for a visit.

And I am fairly sure that you have to have some kind of 6 or 8 week check from somebody

(but to solve your immediate problem, you could always make an appointment with your gp and ask him/her about your back pain. Just don't get started on any exercise without taking advice from someone)
