Why is the hygenist worrying you.

I love having my teeth done by the hygenist. I come away with a lovely squeaky clean feeling on my teeth, and am convinced that they are twice as shiny as usual

I even paid for an extra hygenist session the week before my wedding so that my teeth would feel (and look) nice.

Have you had a bad experience with a hygenist before?

hygienists aren't much fun imo

does it hurt?

No, unless you have a rough hygienist and sensitive gums. DH does, so he asked for her to use a water-spraying thingy instead of the metal pick thingy (to remove plaque) and that was fine. I think once you know you can say NO or STOP its not so bad....I once told my hygienist I didn't want her flossing my teeth as a) I had done it myeslf and b) I was pg and felt sick when flossing.

Wouldn't say I enjoy it, or thats its hugely comfortable having someone fiddling with your mouth for half an hour or so, but it doesn't hurt.

I don't find it painful, but it's a bit uncomfortable sometimes.
