Anyone answer some questions about tummy tucks for me please?

Before I make a consultation appointment.
I've lost alot of weight the proper way, through exercise, and now am left with all the loose skin. The gp has even comfirmed that it needs plastic surgery to sort it out. But I very much doubt I'd ever get it on the NHS obvuiously. Dh agreed that he will support my decision, because I 've tried so hard to get back into shape but the belly is the big issue.

What I really want to know is... for a tuck not just lipo cos that wont sort the problem I have...

  1. Cost
  2. Recovery time, cos I really cant bear the thought of not exercising for too long
  3. How does it compare to having a c section in terms of movement and recovery times?
  4. Will I actually need help for a few days re loking after the kids etc?
  5. Will it really get rid of the c section overhang aswell as the loose skin all over the rest of my tummy?

I know alot of you will prob shout me down saying surgery is ridiculous. But trrust me, it needs to be done, and I've really lost alot thruogh exercise so its not that I'm taking the easy option at all.

God - I wouldn't shout you down at all. If you have lost weight and have loose skin there is nothing else that you can do is there?

there was a thread a while back with some personal experience on it, even some photos on someones profile (I don't have any experience, but may be following you down this route once I am fully fit and if I can raise the cash)

I had my muscles repaired as they were in a bad way after having twins, basically a hernia...but the skin is a problem, and the layer of fat under not going away no matter how thin I get.

anyone done it? would really appreciate any info or advice, or recommendations of surgeons, am in oxfordshire
