i managed to drop a brick (the kitchen door stop!) on my big toe this evening. there was the tiniest bit of bleeding from near the cuticle but not much at all. the bottom of the nail near the cuticle bit seems to have risen slightly, like its swollen. but hsn't popped up as such. oh....and its blue/purple.
have taken some nurofen and paracetamol, but it still feels like there is loads of pressure. a few ppl have said to heat a needle up and pop it thru the nail nd let the blood out but won't this hurt really badly??? also, won't it get infected if i make a hole in it?? will my nail grow back??
