I've had it for a few days now!

It's literally on my pubic bone are on the left and it's a sharp/dull pain that's there and it's worrying me now!

Any ideas?

I have no idea, sorry but I'd get down the Dr tomorrow if possible, I was you, to put your mind at rest.

Could it be ovulation pain? I get this.

Jennnifer · 16/01/2009 10:11

I'm supposedly due on today so I wouldn't have thought ovulation pain. I had it a lot over summer and had a pelvic scan to ''check my tubes'' and all seemed to look fine so i have NO idea.

It's still niggling me now. Could it be IBS related?

On a diagram of the female body, it looks to be the left side of the neck of my womb.

Starting to panic now...

Ovulation pain would not necessarily last this long. I note you've had a previous pelvic scan (which likely did not detect anything untoward).

I would say that a referral to a gynae should be sought via your GP; this sort of problem needs further investigation.

Pelvic scans however, would NOT detect endometriosis if it is present; it is often only diagnosed through a laproscopy (keyhole surgery op).

This might be completely off the wall but my DH had a pain like this for quite a while.

He ended up being referred and having an MRI scan and it turned out that he had a problem with his back (twisted pelvis)which pulled the muscles in his groin and this felt like low abdminal pain. He had one leg slightly longer than the oter a wears a lift in his shoe and also sees an osteo regularly.

It's like a sharp pain right through to my back. I wish I could draw on this thing so I could x marks the spot on a diagram.

I don't know why but I can't help thinking it's my bowels... is this possible? Trapped wind?

I've had excess wind today and since relieving some (sorry!) it seems to have eased off slightly.

Surely something THAT painful can't be trapped wind???

trapped wind hurts like hell!
