apart from switching off the computer and going to bed The dc have been incredibly poorly all week and now it seems I'm coming down with it too. Ds has been particuarly poorly today, has pretty much been on my lap bf the whole time and has had some awful nappies, along wiht nappy rash which is somehting he's not suffered from before He is finally asleep but now I feel poorly I feel very hot and shaky and my tummy feels horrible - Just a thought, but I haven't had a period since ds was born (7 months ago) and my tummy cramps feel a bit like I might be about to have one which would explain that. I can't be ill as I have to look after the dc tomorrow but what can I do right now to minimise the damage? Having seen how poorly they have both bene I don't relish the thought of coming down with the same. What is Ok for me to take while I bf? And any tips for dealing with the dc while I am poorly?

Oh dear, welcome to my world.
I ahve 2 dd's 2.11 and 15 months. Dh came down with lurg on weekend and spent 2 days in bed, dd1 got it on monday and dd2 woke this morning at 2am and was so hot I swear I burnt myself on her.
I also have horrible lurgy headcold/cough AND period started on monday so I really do know what you are going through.
Stock up on ibuprofen for their fever and for you adn paracetemol for all of you too.
Get in juice bottles so you dont have to make drinks and they will drink them all (those juicy water things are good as no crap) If you cant get out then get a bottle of water and snacks and sippy cups and get them stashed near the sofa so you dont have to move.
Put on cbeebies, nick jr, anything that will keep them happy. Feed them whatever they will eat and eat whatever you can.
Most improtant, bring duvet and pillows down and set up camp on sofa or floor with blankets and all snuggle in front off telly. You can BF lying down with LO, if they feel better they can crawl off but still get to you easily and you dont need to get up.

Oh, you must drink lots of water and take paracetemol adn ibuprofen together if you can as it will kill off most symptoms.
I dont recommend it for ages but to get through a couple fo days its all you can do.

And if you can at all manage it get outside. I walked to lcoal shop today with dd's. It dropped dd2's fever (it was raining and windy so even under her cover was cool) for first time all day and dd1 splashed in every puddle so was shattered and slept all afternoon. I got to lean on teh buggy if I felt weak and buy lots of lvoely things to get me through the ngiht.
On which note I am going to bed, hope you dont feel too bad tomorrow and go and get some kip!
