How tired arre you, most of the time?

I am always exhausted, I know I do a lot and I have 2 small dc etc, but have been to the docs several times over the last couple of years and there is nothing wrong with me.
I wake up tired, I could easily go to bed at 8pm most nights and I could quite happliy have a 2 or 3 hour nap in the day when I get chance.
I feel like I am sleeping my liofe away.
I am sat here now and my eyes are heavy and I could quite easily go to bed.
Is it normal, docs have tested me for anemia, diabeties and thyroid all were absolutly fine.

Well, I NEVER feel ready to get up in the morning, regardless of the time. (I'm up at 6.15 for work, up by 7.15 with dc on non-work days)

I go to bed between 10-11 pm and fall asleep straight away

I am sitting here now and could easily fall asleep

Me too and have loads of sleep - have been wondering if I am coming down with something!

How many hours do you sleep per night?

I hum along on a low level of tiredness all day, which is worse in the morning and evening. I don't sleep well so even though I'm exhausted I can't go to bed early, and DD has me up early too. Sympathies

I sleep between 9 and 11 hours a night.
I eat well and do a fair amount of excericse although I am actually struggling to get myself to the gym at the moment.

I sleep 8 - 10 hours a night.

God mayne I sleep too much?

I do exercise though - running 3 times a week a Pilates class and 2 step classes.

I'm sure you've thought of this, but have you spoken to a nutritionist or done anything to change your diet? For me, feeling very tired usually means I have to up my fruit and get intake and that generally sorts it out.

Are you getting enough excercise? sounds like there is more to it than just tiredness, maybe you need to revive your diet? certain foods you are eating could be affecting you ifkwim

I have a fairly hectic lifestyle, up at 6.30, 1 hr commute to work, 8 hr day, 1 hr commute home to pick to my toddler, dont usualy get to bed until after midnight

However I seem to feel fairly energetic atm, but have been trying to excercise more, walking at lunch time, doing my wii fit etc...

Oh just had another thought - do you snore? Maybe you've got sleep apnoiea (sp?)

If there was an Olympic tiredness event - I would be in there. I'm tired when I wake up then never really progress from there.
I never feel altogether 'with it' half the time through lack of sleep - I'll blame our toddler/ the cockerels/ anxiety/my age.

I go to the gym or running about 3 times a week, I do not work so am at home all the time apart from school runs and playgroups.
I gave my diet a complete overhaul last year after I found there was nothing ewlse causing it but tbh it didnt help that much.
The only thing I can think of is gluten, both dd's have either severe gluten intolerance or coeliacs as does my mum.

I'm always tired, feel like I'm just about managing.

But then I get between 2-5 hours sleep a night (or day) - shift worker you see.

i am tired most of the time

my schedule is similar to VT's but i go to bed MUCH earlier - by 10.00 pm most nights

i find getting out of bed awful but once I am up, and am ok

i try to walk around the block at lunchtime and have cut out carbs - so no heavy sandwiches as that used to make me want to sleep

Could it be that you are sleeping for too long?

I had lovely time recently when dh took ds out of house early and had lie ins which allowed me to have 9/10 hours sleep.
After the second day (when I think I'd caught up), I felt awful and so started to get up at usual working time. Felt much better.

For me 6 -8 hours is enough, any more and I feel groggy.

Excercise, even though it may be the last thing you think you can do really does make a difference if you make the effort. I feel like I could sleep for China come 4- 5 o'clock and then get a second wind.

Herbie that sounds like the sort of life out puppy has - without the pain of course.

Is there not anything that can be done medically to help?

I do need something that I can do at hoem though as at the moment I just cant be bothered to go to the gym or out running, has been a week and a half since I last went to the gym.

I also find the more sleep i have, the more tired i am

6 - 8 hrs is plenty for me

Drink lots of water too

but if I dont go to bed, i just fall asleep on the sofa. I am going to try and force my self to go to the gym tonight.

Plus its that time of year when you just want to stay in doors and sleep alot isnt it?

Do you make sure you get out in the fresh air at least once a day?

Bloodu hell maybe I should get out of bed at 6.30 instead of 8 - would save screaming at the kids to get ready for school - but it is sooo cosy in my big bed once DH has gone to work - most of the time me and DS are snuggled up in there together.

Thing is I feel awful as DH isn't as tired as me and he gets up at 5.15 everyday so I get nowhere moaning about being tired in this house.

I cannot believe it is possible to still be alive only having got 2 - 5 housr sleep!
