8 year old can't get to sleep; cranial osteopathy the answer??

I have an 8 year old who cannot fall asleep at night and is now at the stage where it is affecting his concentration at school. We have tried all sorts and for a few days each week, he is asleep at a reasonable hour but most of the time it is 11ish.

More recently he has started fidgeting with his head and shoulders, saying they don't feel right, which has got me on the train of thought of cranial osteopathy.

Any thoughts anyone???

I am not an expert but my baby was treated by a CO a few times including within 24 hours of delivery due to instrument birth. Also I was treated few times and I think it worked for both of us. Baby always slept better the night after treatment (but did not find this better sleep was really sustained over several days / weeks). The important thing is to take to someone recommended or reputable and it cannot do any harm. If you have health insurance, it may cover it. The other 2 things you could consider - homeopathy and acupuncture. Not suggesting all 3, but one of the above. Finally, I do think it might be worth a check out with a good paediatrician, just for peace of mind as much as anything.
