He had the bug that's going round last week. This week he's been itching like crazy, his hands are very painful and weak with pins and needles (intermitent) His lips are very dry and is getting pains in joints and chest area.
I got him to go to the walk in centre yesterday and 2 hours later after first being scared by a nurse saying it may be viral meningitis no further forward as the dr seemed stumped? He hadn't really physically looked at dp, only his tongue? No bp taken or chest listened to.

Has anyone heard of these symptoms before? I think he should go to see his own gp.

Itching can be a symptom of liver disorders, that's all I can think of. It could be some weird virus that has affected his liver, maybe?

Definitely see his own GP.

of course he should see a GP, I would ring the GP myself if he were my partner

he's made an appointment but can't see his dr until the 29th. I wonder why the walk in centre dr didn't take a blood sample?

No, he needs to go in as an emergency appt. Do they not have a facility for this - sometimes things should not be ignored. Liver problems can kill you.

He doesn't have to see HIS doctor, he can see ANY doctor. Get him seen today
