DH and I have been ill since 23rd December - anyone know anything about post-viral fatigue

Cos I think that's what's going on. I have no more virus symptoms but wobbly legs, very low energy, slight constant headache, sore feet when lying in bed.

DH is the same but because he had ME 8 years ago he's getting quite worried - the only thing keeping him going is that I'm feeling the same

Surely 20 days later we should be feeling a bit more energetic?

Every time I kneel/bend down I feel dizzy and weak and as if I can't support my own body weight

Anyone got this and had it magically go away after say, 21 days?

It would be a coincidence to both get it at the same time. It's very similar to ME.

Have you seen the doctor?

Another longshot - have you checked your boiler and heaters? Carbon monoxide leaks cause headaches etc.

Hope you feel better soon.

Neither of us have seen the doctor yet. Dh brought it home from his school at the end of last term - we had exactly the same hacking hideous cough/headache/sickness for about ten days and we have both been left with the same feelings of exhaustion.

I just had to get my ten year old to open a jar and grate some pepper into the pan as my arms felt too weak.

Yep, boiler checked November so not too long ago.

And I'm asking on here cos I don't want to look it up the net and scare us both silly about ME

It took him 18 months to recover from ME the last time.
