i never in my life had dandruff till i had my dd1, since then my head feels so itchy!..on my scalp is white flakes but i do have a good shower to make sure i rinsed it off properly. ive changed different shampoos and the latest one is the head and shoulders 2 in 1 (ive used it before i had my dd2 15 weeks ago and it was fine but this time its making my scalp itch)...it drives me up the wall itching my head...even just thinking about it makes me itch and also when i move my hair..its itchy.

ive had it checked for nits but nothing but i think since ive had my dd1 my scalp had gone sensitive!.

BUT my dd1's scalp is exactly the same, no nits but she got flakly bits.

Am i just not rinsing the shampoo out properly under the shower??

what next??

thanks

Head 'n' shoulders made my DH's head/skin itch all over. So much that it looked as if he had been scalded.

Try changing from H&S to something else.

I was convinced I had lice for a while, as my sclp was itchy and flaky. I tried H&S et all - no repite.

My hairdresser said I just had a dry scalp and I should mmassage some conditioner into my scalp when I was my heair (every other day) - it has worked a treat.

i suffer from a dry scalp and i use Neutrogena T-gel shampoo which smells like coal tar soap but really works. I then use my usual conditioner afterwards which helps with the strong smell.

I has a small patch on my head that I thought was a fungal infection. Tried EVERY dandruff and anti fungal shampoo in existence. Turns out its excema. Looks just like fungal infection and dandruff.
Go to your GP. Mine is now nearly gone after 3 days of treatment.

Mine did this after dd2.

I now use tea tree oil shampoo and it is a lot better.

best solution I have found is to apply Jojoba oil plus tea tree and rosemary essential oils, let it really soak in, and then shampoo out with SLS free shampoo. Leaves scalp really moisturised and flake free, and hair in fab condition too

I have had Psoriasis since having my youngest who is now 9. I am also a hairdresser.
Head and shoulders is THE very worst shampoo.
Try a medicated shampoo. T-Gel very good, or Vosene. If no joy go see your GP.
This cold weather makes it worse.
