Funny coloured tongue!

GP thinks its a fungal infection. Not sore but is funny colour with brown/dark patches. Lozenges he gave me Monday not appearing to help - anyone had this? No other symptoms, e.g. glands all ok, etc.

I get fungal tongue infections when pregnant. They don't hurt (well, not much) and are made worse by acidic food.

A dentist might be more knowledgeable - I spoke to my dentist about mine while pregnant, but we didn't bother treating.

Oh, should have said, my fungal infections were more like raised/lowered patches all over my tongue. No dark bits, I don't think.

Google "geographic tongue" - sounds strange -but I think that's what I get now and again.
