Cystic overies and endometriosis

I was wondering if anyone has had experience of cysts or endometriosis after having children? I was diagnosed with cystic overies and endometriosis 4 1/2 yrs ago(aged 20) which i had treated. Didn't have any more problems with it until recently, (my dd is now 14months). I was led to believe however that the majority of cases didn't recur after successful pregnancy, but recently have started getting the same pains and becoming anemic again. It has been building up over last 4 or 5 months or so. Should i get it treated? or let nature take its own course and if i do, will i be unable to conceive in future? Any suggestions/own experiences much appreciated.

Whoever told you that was wrong I am sorry to say. Endometriosis can recur post pregnancy.

There are different types of cysts; what sort of cysts were present in your case?. Were the cysts related to endometriosis (they're called chocolate cysts) or were they to do with the ovaries being polycystic?.

Do not let nature take its course (heavens no!), please go to the GP and ask to be referred back to the gynae team who treated you originally.

www.endo.org.uk is a helpful website to look at as well.

Thank you. cysts were chocolate cysts, no sign of them on scan, had laporoscapy (spelling?) and found small cyst on left overy and spots of endometriosis on right side of abdomen, they were lasered. I only get pain on left side
