well my new year resolution is to take better care of my teeth... so i have started flossing last night for the first time ever... used sensodyne floss and was quite pleased, i could definitely feel a difference afterwards...

however overnight my gums were quite swollen and irritated, and my teeth actually hurt! feels better now, but still uncomfortable.

is it normal? will it get better?

They say it gets better.

However in my experience it doesn't.

Try those tiny interdental brushes. I use an electric toothbrush and the head I use has flossing action, apparently. It has little yellow flaps alongside the bristles. My dentist seems none the wiser.
