both kids, both +40C temps for 2 days, up virtually the whole night last night and the night before cooling down stupidly high temperatures in both of them...

what I'm wondering is how much longer have they got to go?

and have you picked it up from your children ?

DS (13) had flu at half term in October. I've never seen him so ill since he was in hospital aged 1 with bronchitis. I was up several times a night with him, he had such afever he soaked the bed in sweat several times a night. He was really ill for 7 days then not back to normal for another couple of weeks.
Needless to say I caught it and I have asthma (and I had a flu jab). I have never had proper flu before and it was horrible. I got a chest infection and have had 2 courses of antibiotics plus steroids. I'm almost over it now after 10 weeks.

Poor foxy

Ds1 had it a couple of weeks before Christmas. He had the temps and the cough and general paleness for about a week, cough lasted longer.
I got it from him a few days in, felt dreadful for about a week, rough and listless for another week plus.
Cough was pretty bad.
I have cracked or bruised a rib from cough.

ds2 got off lghtly as bfing, but still pretty rotten.

Keep your immunity high if you can. My lack of sleep really didn't help, I didn't have a chance to get better properly. Am ok now though apart from rib

annoyingly, poor dd now has an ear infection and is off school, ds still looks tired but is fine! What a dreadful bug.

Hope all of you are clear of it now...
