tummy tuck...should I do it or get over myself?

My twins are now 31/2 and I still have a big old saggy tummy, that looks like it's been stuck onto my front. I had to have my stomach muscles operated on when they were about 1 as I had a sort of hernia all the way down from being so huge during pregnancy (I gained about 5 stone...they were quite big babies and I'm 5ft4)...
so now I'm thin ish...size 10/12...but have this tummy that really gets me down. I wear a corset - stretchy one - every day...so thinking the tummy tuck could be good as it's just for the loose skin really...
but seems so selfish to have an operation for vanity's sake...anyone else had one? I have checked out a couple threads on here, but there aren't many. Should I just cheer up? Wish it didn't coincide with the general mid-life crises time of life! Am in late 30s.

try callanetics or the Tupler technique. My tummy is better than ever despite two huge 9lbers. Look on Amazon. Prior to doing it I looked 4 months pregnant !

I think if it is getting you down you should seriously consider it after looking at all the facts and making sure you have help during the recovery period. Wearing a corset everyday does sound pretty drastic.

When did you last see a physio?

Have you exhausted all forms of exercise?

If you have go to your GP. If it's really bad I understand you can get a tummy tuck on the NHS. If not that level at least they house be able to advise you how to decide what to do.

If the problem is skin that has been stretched beyond the point of elasticity then no amount of excercise will change the results.
If it truly is getting you down then get something done about it.
Well done for the babes and the weightloss!!
