Just wondered.

Unusual bleeding needs checking out if it happens more than once.

ABitWrong · 01/01/2009 16:33

So once is okay? It was only a bit.

Because I'm not eating much and am a bit stressed, wondered if it was something to do with that.

Have you had a smear recently? I get this, and apparently it's because I have a large cervical polyp, which was noted when I had my smear.

Well, the practice nurse didn't seem bothered when I rang to ask and said to go in if it happened again.

I had this early last year, I haven't had a recurrence since. It did give me the kick up the backside (or fanjo ) to go and have a (long overdue) smear test done. All was fine, so try not to worry.

Thanks all

I had bleeding in between periods a few years ago and it turned out to be a fibroid. Best get checked out.

BBBee · 02/01/2009 09:03

best get it checked

It's not normal. Doesn't mean it's something horrendous, but should always be checked out. Could be something utterly benign like a cervical erosion but could also be an indicator of something more serious. You really need to go and see your GP, for your own peace of mind more than anything else.

Hi, I have had this recently and it seems to be that the pill I have been on for 8 years is no longer suitable for someone of my age - 45. Have come off now and all seems to be ok. Could that be the problem with you?
