Why can't I take a deep breathe?

Since the weekend. Not wheezy - I'm am athsmatic but it's under control and I'm not wheezing. Not got a cough. But I can't take a proper breath - it's like there's a box around my lungs so I can't inflate them enough. When I try and breathe in really deeply there's a bit of a pain in my back at one side. But that could just be back ache as I'm suffering with that atm.

I thought it was the cold air as that makes breathing more difficult when running etc, but it's just as bad inside. Doesn't seem like a GP matter.

?

i get that when i am anxious, are you anxious?

Have you been coughing much recently even if not now? I think it's possible to bruise a rib (???) or pull a muscle or something.

If you are uncomfortable with it then it is a GP matter, I would go.

No loupy I'm not (that I'm aware of). I get panic breathing too at times but not now, I'm so relaxed I'm almost asleep most of the time

A bit of a cough TBH ponder, but not much. I had a cold and a cough a few weeks back but that is much better now.

cound be a bit of infection of your rib joints - if it doesn't go in a week or two see the doc about antiinflammatories (could google costochondritis but you'll get all the worst case scenarios...)

Thanks notcitrus. I will do that. Hoping it will go in the next few days or so.
