Me too- I think it's staving off a bug. ( we has flu last week and still feel weak)
I've been taking gaviscon which seems to work- suck them slowly during the day.
Don't feel like eating atall! And we're doing an enormous dinner tommorrow for everyone....
Hope you feel better

I've had this several times in the past after a virus. On the plus side on all occasions I lost weight without trying, I lost my appetite for snacking.

maybe have your ears checked? it could be an equilibrium imbalance that deals with your inner ear and your sense of balance. hth

you're lucky they gave them to you pruni! I went for nausea and they told me to get on with it!

Are you on a different pill or at a certain time in your cycle? THat can also give you bad nausea......

I get this quite a bit and it is v v v annoying so much sympathies to you. I too lost a lot of weight!

(ps I get reflux every now and then too....maybe take a Zantac or something like that and see if it relieves the symptoms because if you're not used to recognising the symptoms of reflux, that may be something to do with the nausea).

Thanks for the replies. I've felt a bit better this morning. Only eaten ginger biscuits though. THought of 'wet' food makes me want to gag. I think if it goes on after Christmas I might see the GP.

Chew on a cube of fresh ginger, that usually works for me.

olivo · 24/12/2008 18:26

posst-nasal drip caused me to feel nauseous. have you had a cold recently?

SquidgyBrain · 28/12/2008 16:27

i was feeling the same - constantly nauseated - and terrible heart burn too. The GP gave me some tablets - can't remeber the name (but was a drug used for stomach ulsers) I was told it was due to having too much acid in my stomach

Just bumping this as I have had the same sicky-almost-like-the-hearburn-in-pg thing for about 6 weeks on and off now.
Just wondered if anyone felt it was diet related as when I mentioned it to my Gp she said it was from eating fatty food.
I'm taking gaviscon and eating mints all day but just feel really bleargh all the time. Not an acute pain just rumbly and quite a lot of wind in both directions.
