Do I cancel my Dr Appointent tomorrow, so someone who is more poorly can see a Dr?

I have earache - Otitus external (sp)

I have had it before several time this year & I am in a fair amount of pain but I am controlling it with Co-codamol (strong ones)

I saw a Pharmacist on Saturday who said I need to see the GP

But the pain comes & goes during the day & only gets really bad once or twice during the day - but I am flying to Egypt on Sunday & I hope to go swimming (I am worried about both the flying & the swimming)

But I feel guilty after watching the news about how poorly everyone is

You might need ABs or so ear drops. I'd go. I've been extremely miserable with OE.

I do feel rough, my gland in my neck is swollen, but based on yesterday it will have gone down by the morning

Go to the doc you daft thing! At least the doctor will prob be able to help you -those poor souls with flu just need to stay in bed with lots of fluid and temp reducing medication (til they get secondary pneumonia or something)

Go to the doctors, please. I once got on a flight with mild earache (due to a cold) and the pain was excruciating due to the change in air pressures etc.

It sounds like you need "looking at" by the GP, get your neck looked at too.

Mad woman. Go to the Doctors.

Very sweet to question it.

But mad, nevertheless

The gland & the ear are connected....when I touch one the other hurts (iyswim)

The flight is worrying me (not least, where I buy small resealable plastic bags that don't cost £3 each)........& my ear hurts

GO - ears hurt more on planes and why spoil a holiday....

MLAboutToRunOut · 23/12/2008 22:32

ab's don't work on Otitus external, only middle ear infections.

KatyMac · 23/12/2008 22:33

Good I have had too many anyway......but they worked when I had it in the spring......maybe it got infected or it was something else (I don't always listen)

Go and see the GP.

Its the people with colds who need to stay away. Flus are allowed!
