we have bites, they are sore! What are they?

On ankles. Cannot see any fleas, I've really looked!! Anything else it could be?

Just ankles? I thought ds1's chicken pox spots were bites when they first appeared .........

Sorry, but I've had bites on ankles before when we were staying with relatives, went to Pharmacy and was told they were flea bites, havent stayed with those relatives again....

Likely to be fleas. Get some Acclaim flea spray from a vet and spray the whole house. Hoover every other day for 2 weeks. And treat pet if you have one.

I am always getting mystery insect bites, anywhere on the body. No obvious culprits, can go 6 months without any and get 5 in one evening (in bizarre places on body). Basically, I react to any insect or spider venom (earwigs, woodlice, wasps, midges, spiders, centipedes, beetles, anything that can bite or pinch or sting), and such mini-beasts are probably frequently lurking in clothes. The DC are the same, they just present with odd bites in odd places at odd times.

I am allergic to flea bites, so I would know if I ever got them in particular!!

My answer is it could be anything, just treat with antihistamine if necc.
