C-section recovery - should I go to doc's?

It will involve arranging childcare for 2 DCs and a long wait, so want to be sure I'm not just being a hypochondriac.

Had a c-section 5 weeks ago. Recovery has been great - very little pain / tenderness and feeling pretty good, despite the fact that I have had a headcold/cough/viral thingie for about 8 weeks now (2 lots of anti-b's haven't budged it).

The last 3 days the right side of my scar feels very sore inside. Over the last 24 hours it really is quite tender and feels very bruised and sore when I cough or twist to the left or right - feels like I have regressed in my recovery, basically The scar itself looks fine and the vaginal bleeding finally tailed off last week, but I do feel a bit feverish, like I have a chill or something.

Would you go to the docs?

Definitely - sounds like an infection - sorry - but better to get it checked out.

Get it checked - go now to the docs to avoid needing to go over xmas

Go, without a doubt. Take some paracetamol tonight and rest, don't do any heavy lifting or exerting yourself (you shouldn't be anyway!) and see your GP tomorrow.

Thanks, ladies. I'm going to go to the walk in clinic tonight, I think. I have a sneaking suspicion all is not well, but have been in denial as so much to do for Christmas

Yes, go go go. It may be nothing but you don't want to risk it being an infection and spreading.

Hope you're ok xxx
