We discovered about four weeks ago that my aunts cancer has returned.
She had a mastectomy in July 07 and was given the all clear earlier this year. The cancer seems to have reappeared really quickly and is now in her spine and lungs.
Her lungs have been drained of fluid twice now.Apparently they are going to do more chemo in the new year.
The family seem to be thinking that this will make her better, they have refused to ask the prognosis.Whilst i know a positive attitude is good my heart tells me that things are pretty darn bad.
Does anyone have any experience of what we can expect?-and please be honest-im not kidding myself anymore.

I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. It's honestly hard to know what will happen from here on, and although her cancer is highly unlikely to be curable now, her life can be in all probability extended by quite some time, and give her a good quality of life by using chemo and other treatments
