Help! Thermoscan is showing ERROR message and I don't know why

Could really use it tonight, does anyone understand these things? All the instructions say is that the ambient temp is too low, which is it not. I have changed the lens filters about 3 times and also the batteries. Nothing works

is it fecked?

have you tried resetting it and clearing the memory - our did it before and i think that's what we did

mine does this if I don't position it in the ear properly

well it won't let me access the memory or anything anyway - as soon as I put the lens cover on it starts flashing. It won't let me use it without the cover either.,

I haver a feeling it has done its 5 years and given up!
