look just go to your gp and explain. I'm sure they've heard similar before. Just get it sorted!

Did you mean that you've already had the "up the bum" tests, or that you've cancelled them?

twinklingtrace2 · 18/12/2008 12:18

i cancelled them i really carnt have them i dont know why i just cart

I would go along to your GP or to the hospital and say just what you've said here. Say that you're terrified of having the tests, which is why you've cancelled before, and can they give you any advice or tell you more about what's being looked for - is there another way to get the same info, what will happen in detail so you're forewarned, is it something that you could be put under for if it's very important? Just go and explain. They should understand and if the tests are important they can help you to get past your fear and to have them - better that than to have something undiagnosed and unfixed when it could be all sorted.

It is easy. Never had full up the bum tests but been investigated for piles and it's not pleasant, but it's not that bad! Please make an appointment

My mum had "up the bum" tests this summer. She said that the worrying about it beforehand was far worse than the actual test.

Her words - "nothing to it, can't think why I got so worried."

She also had a camera down her throat, which is also nothing to get bothered about.
