went to the docs 6 weeks ago, symptoms were : constant headache,
funny feeling in head (like someone blowing up a balloon in there!)
nausea (on and off )
something dripping down back of throat

so, i get antibiotics as he thinks its sinusitis and they dont work

different doc gives me another 2 weeks antibiotics

last 2 tablets and the headache was gone, but then i caught a cold and now the headaches back, wake up with it in the back of my head every morning

my ears are a bit kinda muffled and when i go upstairs or have been walking or whatever i can hear my heartbeat and crackly noises in them.

i feel tired and spaced out and sick to death of taking paracetamol etc

please help!

Have you had your ears checked?

They sound like they are blocked too. Maybe you have an ear infection.

Sorry you are having a bad time.

thanx. i had a weeks antibiotics first and the second doc did say that sinusitis needs 2 weeks really, so she gave me another 2 week course.

tbh my ears have been crackly when i swallow on and off for about a year but doesnt normally bother me and they dont normally feel blocked or make pulsing noises!

tbh i keep wondering if its something other than sinus trouble, i dont entirely trust these docs!

It could be you need your ears syringed and the cold has made that worse. The cracking sound is probably gunk moving around - I have that occasionally.

I know what you mean about not trusting doctors. They don't always check everything, do they? I know I have taken my boys in and said they aren't well and I wondered about a sore throat and they check it and say, no sore throat. Then I have to go back a few days later as they are getting worse only to find that they have an ear infection. They should check all related areas imo but they often don't.

You could try some Earex or something like that to see if it relieves the bunged up ear feeling.

it sounds like you need to go back to your GP

you are describing a post nasal drip (dripping down back of throat) of which there are many causes - allergy being one of them. could well be linked to sinusitis.

the crackling in your ears is probably fluid - after an ear infection maybe.

you may get given a different course of antibiotics and if that doesn't work a referral to an ENT surgeon would be reasonable.

good luck

You need to cut out cows milk. Cows milk is the culprit for so many sinus problems. I had sinus problems for 10 years and I went over to goats milk and it went within a weeks. Cows milk has high levels of mucus in it.
