I think i have a chest infection i am coughing up brown goo and my chest is in agony, i have had a temperature of over 100 all night, i am going to the doctors today before anyone jumps in with a 'go to the gp now!' i am just waiting for them to open to get an appointmet.

COme feed me broth and mop my fevered brow since dp has gone off to work this morning so cant do it himself!

you could go to a&e? if it's a chest infection you need to get onto abs asap.

madamy · 17/12/2008 10:27

a&e is for accidents and emergencies, not a blooming chest infection!!

FanjoForTheYuletideMammaries · 17/12/2008 10:27

Sympathies, that must be awful.

But if you go to A and E you will probably be waiting until after 2.45 to be seen!

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 17/12/2008 10:27

I can't go to A&E with my 2 kids they are savages tbh, i will wait untill my apt i just hope a nurse can prescribe what i need. I have a weak chest so i get infections easily but this one feel bad.

DS2 also has really bad cold and cough.

i agree about a&e being for a and e, but an untreated chest infection can become an e. hopefully the nurse will be able to prescribe something.

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 17/12/2008 10:35

Hopefully!

My current survival strategy is on the sofa with the kids watching lots of Peppa Pig! I am also happy in the knowlage dp is going to be in town for an hour or so after work getting me lots of lovely xmas pressies!

Also will just add i have been hospitalised for a chest infection once before, i went to a&e after coughing up blood and they kept me in with a bad infection. I didn't have the kids in them days though!

sounds like a v good plan. keep cosy, drink tea!

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 17/12/2008 10:57

Oh poo ds's dr has just rung to remind me we is supposed to be in cf clininc today, i had completley forgotten about it but had to tell them we wouldn't be attending as i don't think someone with a chest infection is great to be at a cf clininc.

The lovely nurses that work with ds are coming to take the ds's out for a few housr so i can go to the drs and get a bit of rest. I heart them.

That's really nice of them!! I hope you feel better soon, hopefully the abs will do their work.
