Think I've broken my little finger,all 3 dc are ill,advice please

Did it a week ago has been so hectic not had the time to do anything about it. The dc are sooo ill can't drag them anywhere. Just realised today it's still throbbing and very slightly swollen,slightly more bent(not badly so) than the other one. Am I right in thinking it's just a little finger,they won't be able to do anything so just wait until it heals totally. I don't really need to see anybody do I?

I think they would only strap it up to the next one.
Have you done that ??
Although you may need to get it checked out if it's been a week!
Would wait until dc are better and go to hosp to get it checked out but strap it up in the meantime.

When I broke my toe many years ago my mum strapped it between two matchsticks with surgical tape.

Is the strapping just for comfort?

I just think it helps it heal straight so you can't bend it etc???
Just remember hosp did this for my dad!

I have at various times broken all of my fingers (but never either of my thumbs strangely) All they ever did was strap it to the next one and give me panadol tbh (except for a multiple break in my index finger which did need to be reset. I have use of all my fingers though slightly crooked but I doubt they will do very much more than strap it if you did go in. Maybe ice on it if swollen.

I would get it checked when you can tbh just incase you have dislocated it etc (sorry to be the prophet of doom) but if it is bent then you had better get it checked out. Sorry about your dc's. Hope they are all better soon.
