How much salt is too much for kids?

I have been paying attention recently to the sad stories appearing on the news about children dying from salt overdoses. Even being killed with it that time in the news (horrible people)
And since then I have been increasingly concerned as I add salt quite extravagantly.
So does anyone know how much is too much?

I don't give DS any food with more than 0.5g of sodium (as recommended by Organix who compiled the Dirty Dozen list).

You might find this helpful as well.

thank-you, you were right i did find it helpful. I guess I will have to cut down.

No problem.

I've stopped adding salt nearly completely in cooking and don't really miss it.

It's a shame that the sugar content isn't always as obvious from the labels.

I don't know if I'm going to find it easy though as I love salt and sugar. But definately going to try as I want my kids to be healthy
