Can thrush give you a kidney/urine infection?

I have thrush, i have had treatment but my wee hole really hurts, i am still putting the cream on but it is still so itchy.

My kidneys are slightly hurting but i am can feel pain going up my wee pipe.

Any advice.

Thrush is a fungal infection, and bladder/kidney infections are usually bacterial in origin. But it is possible that you have a bacterial infection and not thrush, which could be why it isn't responding to the cream. It is probably worth speaking to a gp or at least a pharmacist for advice.

Thrush can invade the bladder and make you sore- drink lots of water and wear loose clothes and ot things! You might like to try the oral tablets for thrush- they can help more than the cream as the cream can actually irritate some people.

Best see your GP for a test etc.
