Can having a colposcopy cause a change in your cycle?

I am never exactly regular but I had my second colposcopy about 3 weeks ago now and I thought that I would have started my period a week or so ago. Can the biopsies etc cause a delay/muck things up a bit? I dont remember having a problem 6 months ago but it wasn't an issue then. I want to ttc number 2 but don't know what is going on! Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I had a laparoscopy about 6 weeks ago and my normally very regular cycle is all over the place now. I know it's a different procedure but I did read somewhere that it's quite normal for your body to react to the stress of an operation in such a way.

thanks twoshakes its reassuring to hear that. I didn't have a problem last time but the guy who did it this time was a little heavy handed and took biopsies though it took 6 attempts so I guess he probably stirred things up a bit!
