Tinnitus - worse when you have a cold?

That's it,r eally. Have had tinnitus (self diagnosed) on and off for a few years. Returns with stress. OK, Christmas is stressful this year and I have a rather nasty cold that's blocking my ears. Do you think this has affected me (the cold, that is)?

Yes, mine gets just unbearable when I have a bad cold or if I am bunged up. It really is the pits isn't it.
