friend is bitting her tongue literally when stressed

Any tips i can give to friend who has been doing this. She has been doing it since she got pregnant, 15mths ago.

go to the doctor. Is she doing it during the day?
Is she breastfeeding? she may need a mild anti depressant.

i think it's possibly during the day. it seems to be when she is due to see/has seen difficult family members.
