IME - wee sample, no examination.

Probably just a sample for cystitis. I've had it a lot but never had an exam for it.

If it is that you'll probably be given AB's. They work pretty quickly so hopefully you'll be feeling a lot better soon.

no.

Lots of fluids and cranberry juice.

no

cystitis is an infection in your urethra (ie your wee tube) not your vagina

urethra is far too small to see up!

I find concentrated cranberry extract tablets work better than cranberry juice as the juice can be so packed full of sugar and it defeats the purpose.

Cut out coffee and pure orange as it can irritate although a small amount of weak tea isn't a bad thing as it can make you pee more and it helps get rid of any infection. Drink loads of water and avoid sugar.

If you are going to the doc try and bring a urine sample with you as sometimes, if it's your first urinary tract infection, they won't give you the abs there and then until they've tested the sample. (Un)luckily I've had so many utis they just hand the abs out to me.

Definately no internal exams.
