Am I mad to consider a Mirena if I have a history of pnd?

Am going round and round in circles. DD is 3 months and I am breastfeeding. Need contraception and no idea what to choose.

Cant have combined pill as bf.

DS consequence of natural family planning and persona - sex on green day at least a week before ovulation but hey ho!

DD consequence of (not) using condoms - again at least a week before ovulation.

Cant rely on persona or natural when breastfeeding (and probably shouldnt with that history lol).

Mini pill - made me fat, spotty and depressed.

Really dont want heavy periods as already heavy - so no coil.

Have had pnd twice - recovering now and fine on anti d's - so am I mad to consider this? Do not want sterilisation/vasectomy but no more children for now anyway...

Any ideas or experiences?

I dont know anything about the risk of mirena and hx pnd, but I will say that having the mirena was the best thing I ever had.
I had one just after ds was born, no period, no side effects, no mood swings, no weight gain (weight loss actually).
Ive just had it out as ttc #3 but will have another one put in asap

I had a bad experience with Mirena so personally wouldn't recommend it. It made me depressed, spotty, gained 10lb, really bloated stomach, sore breasts, constant bleeding, period every 2 weeks...... However, friends of mine have it and think its the best thing since sliced bread.
