Had a Cortisone injection in my hand today! (carpal tunnel) Anyone else suffered with a metallic taste after?

Pretty sure I didn't have it before injection, but it is really a horrid taste.

Is it a common side effect? Did try looking on google but after wading through a few pages gave up!

hurumpfh! I was told there was NO treatment for me i have severe CPT. Sorry that's not what you were after but do you mind me asking who arranged your treatment please?

I just googled " after effects cortisone injection metallic taste" and got LOTS of matches!

(was trying to remember what I had after my injections, but I get acid reflux so often have funny tastes!)

I went to see a consultant that the GP arranged. (NHS) Had tests done, yes they agreed I had it. Gave me the option of wearing splints at night or injection. At first I chose splints (no good) So I asked for the injection. I have been told if the injection doesn't work then there is surgery.

I was given a really naff splint but they said thats all i could have, mine is caused by a bad injury i had as a child though i wonder if thats why?

Not sure Charlee, think mine was from removing floor and wall tiles in our kitchen - there were hundreds of tiles I tell you , hundreds!!! oh and 2 tile deep! Honestly I am not exagerating! Honest!
