Hi
My dad has just been on teh phone, earlier this afternoon his arm went numb and then he had tingling in his fingers. LAsted about an hour. REsidual ache in upper arm but nothing else. Feels "under the weather" but nothing else of note.
No significant other medical history, family history of stroke and TIA.
Can't get hold of my dh (doctor) to get advice.
Dad has phoned GP and can't get appt today or tomorrw!! Even when explained problem.
Should he take some aspirin as a precautionary measure (stroke/TIA) he's fine wiht taking them.....or should he wait till 6pm and go to the out of hours?
Any help greatly appreciated.........am a bit worried tbh.
TIA

Hope your dad is ok, smoggie.

Thank you - beginning to think nobody cared
Posted at wrong time (bathtime/bedtime).

He's got to go to the TIA clinic at the hospital tomorrow to get checked out. Might be nothing or might be a bit of a warning.....suprising really cos he's fit as a lop, no risk factors, not overweight, eats healthily, doesn't smoke, doens't drink excessively.
Oh well. we'll see.
WOn't let me go with him tomorrow - stubborn independent bugger!
Thanks for taking the time to post -much appreciated.
