anyone else have very light periods? (not on the pill)

i'm 34 and for the last couple of years have had very light periods. They only last two days; three max. (when i was a teenager they would last upwards of a week) I'm not on the pill or any other form of birth control and my cycle is regular (32 days long)
Is this an age thing or could it be more significant?
I'm interested because i've just had a second miscarriage and am wondering if the light periods are a sign that something's not quite right. (first miscarriage was in July.) I have one DS, 16 months, and my light periods were happening before he was conceived, which is a good and hopeful sign. But i'd be interested in how unusual this two day bleed is for someone my age....

I know when I had a problem with eating a few years ago that my periods only last a couple of days and were very light.
Is your diet alright and your weight?

I am 42 now and this happened for about 3yrs when I was 36yrs old.

silvermum - I'm very interested to read this because mine have ben much lighter since I stopped taking the mini pill - I expected things to go the other way if anything. It is disconcerting isn't it? I was wondering if it meant something wasn't quite right as well but as we have completed our family and I'm off the pill because dh has done the decent thing I haven't had any impetus to enquire about it. Perhaps we're just lucky? I do hope you get good news soon. I am 31 by the way.

thanks northern lurker. seems we're in a very small minority. i'll certainly be mentioning it at my next GP appointment but don't expect them to run any tests unless i have a third miscarriage. here's hoping it won't happen.
anyone else?
