Anyone with experience of PET (pre eclamptic toxemia)?

Hi, I was in and out of hospital for the last few weeks of my pregnancy with PET. It was fairly mild as blood pressure at it's highest was 160/96 and apart from urine positive for proteins from time to time I had no other symptoms. DD2 was born a week ago and I was discharged from hospital on Saturday on medication. My blood pressure is still very high for me and today I have a headache. Just wondering if anyone had this and how long did it take to resolve after baby was born? Should I be concerned or is it not too serious once baby has arrived?
I am due for GP visit on Friday but wondering if I should go tomorrow.

Be on the safe side and go tomorrow, you'll only keep your blood pressure up by worrying too much!

My blood pressure didn't come down after birth of my twins - turned out they had left some placenta inside me. Be on the look out for any signs of this - clots, lots of bleeding.

Would go to dr too. I had pre eclampsia and it escalated after the birth. You should be monitored till all the symptoms stop. Hope you feel better soon
