Is it possible to have morning sickness whilst breastfeeding and DEF. NOT pregnant?

My second baby is 4 mths old now, fully bf,
the last two days I have had what only can be described as morning sickness, today I almost vomited twice.. I feel nauseous all day.

I had Hyperemesis with ds, throughout the pregnancy till literally the last day. I am going to be depressed if I have a recurrence of this.

I am 99.9% certain I cannot be pg as have only had sex once and used a condom carefully.

I have had a cold for a few weeks, so why would that make me nauseous only the past 2 days???????????????????????????

have you had a period yet (don't answer if you dont want!) it could be the hormones kicking in again.

LetMeEatCake · 18/11/2008 15:14

I havent had any periods yet as fully bf, I fully bf my dd too and never had any periods till I finished.

what did your bad bad kitten do!!!!!!

I get nauseous before my period. It does feel just like morning sickness. Every month I worry that I am pregnant, then my period starts. I am on minipill though, so don't know if that contributes.

Or you could have a bug

LetMeEatCake · 18/11/2008 15:24

it could be a bug, have been very cold-y.
am not on any medication/herbal things

my bad bad kitten was horrid growing up. Little things like head in fish tank while I was cleaning it with little fish swimming towards her open mouth Tom and Jerry style.

The worst thing was when she ate Tom our garden robin a few weeks before Christmas. Opening christmas cards that year was torture. Robins were on almost every card looking out at me with reproachful eyes

Hope you feel better soon

oh!!!! poor robin.
funny kitten though!!

I'd say it was a bug, and tiredness maybe can make you feel sick easily.

idobelieveinghosts · 18/11/2008 15:57

I feel awfully sick in the evenings...its due to tiredness....could it be that?

Greedygirl · 18/11/2008 16:14

I am on the hormonal coil (what a conversation opener!) and I sometimes feel sick in the evenings and a bit bloated too, was worried re the pregnancy thing a one point but "fat chance" as my DH would say! Think it could just be your hormones.

tallbirduk · 18/11/2008 18:17

twice since i have had DS (now 20 weeks) I have had a cold which has lasted a few days and then I have had a couple of days of feeling really sick - in fact, I have been feeling like that today, really, really queasy and weak and a bit dizzy and stuff.

Not something I have suffered from before - wondered whether it was my insides being jiggered about during pregnancy or something!

It's not nice though - all I want to do is lie down and feel sorry for myself, unfortunately DS doesn't understand

whomovedmychocolate · 18/11/2008 18:20

Actually morning sickness can continue up to three months after pregnancy because in some women it takes that long for the hormone levels to normalise and in addition you've got high prolactin levels thrown into the mix. I was chucking up for the first couple of months after DS and DD. Sorry. It does pass though.

whomovedmychocolate · 18/11/2008 18:21

But if it's only the last two days - you have a bug.
