It may not be a UTI, what are the symptoms

wrinklytum · 14/11/2008 23:11

Well, does it hurt when you wee?Do you have a temperature? Is your wee cloudy?

MrsGeneHunt · 14/11/2008 23:12

he seems to have those symptoms, apart from the cloudiness,
i just feel irritated there

Cystitis?

It's rare for men to get UTI's apparantly, their anatomy makes it so.

MrsGeneHunt · 14/11/2008 23:15

yes, it is worryign just before the weekend,
actually i neednt have google, first thing i said to him was uti.
of course i may be wrong.

A UTI would be quite painful, make you wee alot, it would be cloudy/red. It normally follows cystitis. There may be fever and feeling ill.

WobblyPig · 14/11/2008 23:17

It might be an infection of the urethra - urethritis rahter than a UTI. Have either of you had similar infections or thrush before?

MrsGeneHunt · 14/11/2008 23:18

well i don't have that, but he does. ( i think)

Get some samples to the GP. It is more unusual for men to have UTIs but can have other things such as urethritis , prostatitis - all treatable with antibiotics.

MrsGeneHunt · 14/11/2008 23:22

sigh, monday then,
but how would it be caught by me? unless i am just pscyhosomatic?
