I always feel relieved when I go to see the GP & get told I really am ill - it's like permission to give in

A chest infection
An ear infection
A bad back

& I turned all the little squares on the pee dipstick into a rainbow of colours - so I guess I have a urine infection too

I have sat on the settee all afternoon feeling sorry for myself & worrying slightly about
a)my third set of A-B's in 6 weeks
b)can one A-B cure 3 things
c)How many Jaffa cakes I can eat at one time

Blimey! Poor you x Stay tucked up and watch films.

BTW - I reckon 5 jaffa cakes in one go

KatyMac · 13/11/2008 21:11

WHat 5 packs - that's more hardcore than me

I stop after one orange cellophane pack.....normally

5 jaffa cakes in your mouth at one time!!

5 packs is doable but you will probably be sick

I hope you feel better soon.

KatyMac · 13/11/2008 21:21

Oh you mean all at once - I mean one after another

Much more fun my way

Although, I do like to eat the chocolate, then the jelly then the bottom bit.

Hassled · 13/11/2008 21:35

Oh Katy - I was thinking about you today (and DD's dance thing - when is that? or has it happened?); sorry you're still feeling ropey. And yes, I know exactly what you mean re the relief of hearing there really is something wrong. You must take it easy.

I could only manage 3 JCs at a time.

KatyMac · 13/11/2008 21:37

Hi pet - how are the children?

DD is
a)this week end Birthday sleepover at Nanas (well planned
b)Next week - Birthday weekend
c)29th & 30th - Comp in Blackpool

I am knackered

Poor DD
Poor you (with the boys; is it no1?)

Are you clean now?

Are you any good at booking holidays?

OP posts:
Hassled · 13/11/2008 22:00

I'm great at booking holidays - email me what you want and I will be on the case. Just glad you're having one

KatyMac · 13/11/2008 22:05

You, my mum, my staff, my therapist, my husband (who rang his mum to say she couldn't come to stay at Christmas), my dad (who offered to pay)

I think there is a theme

Hi Katy,

How are you feeling today? Sorry I missed your thread before, off sick myself too.

Last week it was the IBS, woke up sunday morning feeling odd, not anything in particular had to come home to mums house for something and coming from the car to the house (which isn't far at all, 30 odd steps?, i had to sit down and try very hard to catch my breath).

Like you I always worry that its nothing really, or that it'll pass and I'll feel like a dumplin for bothering the doctor.

Knew something was wrong yesterday though and phoned nhs 24, waited an hour for someone to phone me back and was referred out to the hospital.

Given oxygen, steroids, antibiotics and an inhaler... the moral of the story? Sometimes maybe i shouldn't wait quite so long before going!

Off placement until wednesday now, already had time off and it's only for three weeks but theres nothing I can do, if i go I might end up worse.

So i'm now sitting on the couch, wishing I had jaffa cakes!!!!

frostyfingers · 17/11/2008 10:40

Please stop talking about jaffa cakes - feeling sick today, stomach churning and cramping - yuk.

SimpleAsABC · 17/11/2008 11:01

Oh dear, doesn't sound good. I've got IBS and those are some of my symptoms on a bad day, I do sympathise with you!
